Purchasing Procedures

There are three steps to purchasing land in Camocim Development.

1. You must sign a contract to purchase the land. The contract will be in English. You will not be able to get the deed in your name until you get a tax ID number or (CPF number). We suggest an who attorney can help you get a CPF number: However, the sellers make no implied or expressed guarantee as to the results of any attorney referral.

2. To acquire a CPF number you must fill out a simple form located at of the many Brazilian Consulates located throughout Europe and America with your passport and official birth certificate.  It takes roughly two to three months to get your CPF number.

3. The final step is to put the deed into your name. A common way to accomplish this from abroad is to appoint a trustee to sign in your name. 

Taxes and Information:

  • The taxes for property in Camocim Development are 1.5% of assessed value that is registered in your deeds.
