Although I have the greatest respect for Geri Willis she is off the mark on a couple of points in this broadcast. Let me disclose that I am a successful Real Estate professional first, that has been in the business since 1999. Real Estate is a full time business for us, I am also an educator for real estate, have been published in national syndications and hold an MBA.

Point: Home inspectors are not aligned to the REALTOR® so they can get a quick less than standard inspection for their client. The REALTOR® that works in the realm of excellence will always have the fiduciary responsibility of their client as their primary goal. Usually this agent will recommend 3 home inspectors for their client to interview that the REALTOR® knows has a great reputation for doing inspections for their clients. The best agents understand that any referrals given to their client’s tends to place their personal reputation on the line. That REALTOR® is not going to allow that to happen.
